Its been a little while since I updated the blog as its been a busy couple of weeks with work, Seb’s gigs and researching jobs in London but I managed to take a few photos at Weston Cricket Club’s Bonfire Night celebrations so might as well pop those on here!

It was a bit colder and quite a bit darker than I’m used to at the club so I left the Tamron 150-600mm at home and tried my luck with the Sony 55mm and Loxia 35mm. The 55mm has become my go-to lens for all occasions but I thought I’d need to go as wide as possible for the fireworks and the Loxia is the widest E-mount lens I own so that came along as well. As it turned out the Loxia was only just wide enough as the fireworks are set off not that far to the right of shot above hence I ended up almost behind the tree – at least that’s my excuse for cutting feet off in some of the photos to come.

I’m not sure whether it was there last year but Weston had a small funfair in the car park this year that added nicely to the atmosphere and presented a few photo opportunities.

But of course it wouldn’t be Bonfire Night without a Guy on a bonfire and Weston tend to do this rather well.
