Well I’m certainly glad that the common is green again finally, not least because this has suspiciously coincided with an abundance of deer. I’d like to put this down to the ‘wonders of Spring’ but it might just be that the deer have lost their camouflage – long gone is that tricky Winter period of staring at tree stumps trying to work out if they’re actually deer that are just really good at staying still.
The below snap I took on the bank holiday Monday just gone and, having now had a chance to have a proper look at it, I was relieved to find it really was a deer. I’ve just noticed, on looking at the time stamp, that it was actually taken on Tuesday. Not sure that particularly changes anything but there you go.
