Well ok there may have been – 3 trips to Epsom common this week have highlighted the changes the snow has brought so thought I might as well share them on here!

Heading all the way back to Feb and the pond is beginning to freeze over. It’s only about a 20 min walk to the pond from home so I’ve visited it a few times since moving here. Not only does it provide the opportunity for a few landscape photos but (when it isn’t frozen) it attracts a few birds giving me the chance to get the big lens out.
Seeing as it was frozen there weren’t any birds but I did spot a deer on my way across the common.

And on to March.

There was a bit of a change over night.
I got there a bit late to explore the common too much (it was also pretty nippy) so this is the only photo I have from that trip – still worth it I think!

Next day and snow is falling.
The common looked amazing in the snow and I spent a couple of hours wandering around taking photos

Without any leaves the trees formed all kinds of interesting shapes and patterns – rather than post a million photos of random trees I’ve tried to pick a few that still looked funky when viewed at home in the warm!

Again I finished at the pond which by now was not only frozen over but covered in snow.

That seems to be the last of the snow as amazingly it’s already melted in Epsom so there ends the fun. Hopefully we’ll get some more next winter and it’ll last longer than 3 days!
